The unit modding system is my favorite new feature. I'm honestly still a bit confused why planetfall has such low player counts. I do seem to remember 3 being a true journey for both player, recensionist and developer with a mediocre rating from start slowly gaining momentum after a couple of years Where do you feel, 3 really outweighs 4? or better said what should i pay attention too so i can understand, from a single player campaign standpoint, where 4 failed. ( 1,5 scenario ) ) Both games take a lot of accustoming since i generally play 4x or total war games concerning grand strategy or homnm for that matter ( which is very much single army based in combat ) so you can imagine that i often go in to bold where i needed more forethought or just plain another army next to me. Now I feel i progressed about as far in 3 as i did in 4. Yes this is present in 4 but 4 is more like that wealthy american raised from the street used his first money to rent a strip joint and now he's running for president. ( reference to units and how they behave) not to mention the very expensive aura their first 3 fantasy games poses in both lore and story tellying. Young elven girl/rogue etc etc i also did glances in 2 ( which i know sort of well since i played that one when it released for quite some time ) and 1 ( which still looks exceptional look the game up over at gog.com or steam, i'm not sure if it is available on steam ) just to take the series as a whole under the microscope.įirst observation: damn they ( my fellow neighbour country mates Triumph studio's ) do like to keep a certain mechanic and world choice in their games After reading a lot of commentary from people disappointed in how planetfall looks feels and behaves ( as opposed to the greatness found in 3 )i decided on starting, for the first time i might add, a serious try of the single player campaign feature found in 3.
